"Books are the quietest and the most constant of friends, they are the most accessible and the wisest of counselors and the most most patient of teachers"
There are some things you don't remember first doing because it is as natural as taking a breathe of air. For me reading is like taking a breathe of air. Perhaps it is something I take for granted - reading and books have always been a part of my life. My parents are huge readers - they were always reading to themselves, each other or to me. It is no wonder that I am such a geek but that is okay. Besides my parents, Nancy Drew deserves a lot of the credit. She has had a profound influence on my life. She was the perfect after school companion for me as I was growing up. The book allowed girls and young women to imagine that anything was poosible. I am a librarian now thanks to her. She started me on my journey of reading and everyday my love of reading just grows stronger. So thank you, Nancy Drew.
